On Friday 4 November, we organized the first edition of the “Prevention in Sports” symposium. A day to meet, connect and talk about our shared drive and motivation to protect the health of athletes.
“To celebrate our past years of athlete health research, we invited you to join us on a reflection and a look forward” – Evert Verhagen
The symposium was a retrospective of 7 years of “Athlete health research” in which researchers and professionals from sports practice shared their knowledge. About 100 visitors were present to listen to the (inter)national speakers who gave a total of 6 lectures and 3 workshops, divided over 2 different rooms. In addition, all sessions were streamed live, and about 500 people watched via the internet. It was the first event organized in the new AISS Hub. International speakers, researchers and former elite athletes from our network shared their scientific and practical knowledge and discussed progressive topics in the field of the health of top athletes. In addition, there was room between the sessions for the visitors to exchange experiences and talk to the guest speakers.
Down here, you will find the talks and workshops that we hosted during the day. On to the next edition!
