We are the Amsterdam Collaboration on Health & Safety in Sports (ACHSS). An initiative that brings together, within the Amsterdam UMC, two Dutch leading academic groups on research and clinical practice of athlete health protection. The ACHSS initiative is one of the 11 IOC Research Centers for Prevention of Injury and Protection of Athlete Health.

Faten Smiley (1984) is currently working as a Senior Research & Education Specialist at Aspetar Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Hospital in Qatar. She completed her Masters of Science in Epidemiology in 2015 at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Her PhD research focuses on the impact of continuing medical education on clinical practice in sports medicine.
