As said we have now uploaded the entire session. As this was our first try for an online conference, not all technical bits have been in perfect order .. so please excuse the amateur recordings. We promise to do better next time ;)
01 - The complexity of injuries demands novel approaches
Natalia Bittencourt is a Sports Physical Therapist. She worked as the Head of Sports PT Department of Minas Tenis Club (Brazil), and currently she is a Post Doc Researcher at our own Health & Safety in Sports Center at the Amsterdam UMC.
02 - Injury risk assessment in sport
Alan McCall is the head of R&D with Arsenal Football Club, scientific consultant to FC Barcelona and co-head or R&Innovation at Football Federation Australia. His background includes 10 years of experience as a fitness coach and sport scientist in Scottish, English, French and Australian premier leagues (incl Champions & Europa League) and FIFA World Cups with the Australian national team.
03 - Machine learning tools and how they can contribute to risk assessment in sport
Alessio Rossi holds a Masters degree in Sport Science for Health at University of Milan 2013,. He received a PhD in Integrate Biomedical Research at the University of Milan in 2017, and currently is employed as a researcher at the Department of Computer Science at University of Pisa. His research focuses on the physiological response analysis in both sport and health sciences, in particular to assess the injury risk of soccer players and assessing the heart rate responses to external stimulus such as sleep, physical activity and psychological status. He also works on combining psychophysiological data for the forecasting of peoples' well-being.
04 - The application of machine learning to assess injury risk in youth football
Nikki Rommers holds a MSc degree in physiotherapy and is currently finalizing her PhD investigating injury patterns and risk factors in youth football players at the departments of movement and sports sciences of Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Ghent University.
